Applying various colors of ink with pen & brush I try to create scenes that will touch our emotions in some way. My drawings are developed through the use of shapes, contrast and spaciousness.
My technique creates an illusion of texture and three dimensions in a two-dimensional image. Layering ink, colored pencil, and other drawing media I exaggerate features to create that texture.
I use a large palette of soft pastels on archival pastel paper. I blend with my fingers and use the edge of the pastel for detail. Bright vibrant complimentary color schemes give my work a 3d effect
Original drypoint, aquatint and photographic etchings, which have been hand etched and hand printed off copper plates. Hand-pulled original serigraphy.
