I handcraft beautiful canoe, kayak and SUP paddles. I laminate carefully selected woods to produce functional works of art. Each paddle is numbered and signed by me. I use hand tools and machinery.
I do segmented wood turning using different species of wood. I try to find unique pieces of wood and do one of a kind pieces. I hand sand and prepare with a food safe finish.
3D Wood Shadow Boxes: hand drawn scenes refined on computer. We hand sand and stain each piece of wood, then precision laser etch and cut. The final work is assembled, glued, hand framed, lacquered.
I build arts and craft and Nakashima inspired furniture. I’m very detail-oriented and use traditional joinery in all my work, often focusing on combining a traditional style base with a natural top.
I look for local and exotic hardwood that has character, unusual grain patterns and color variation and assemble multiple wood species together to create unique functional artwork to be used everyday.
